The development contract is used to help communities finance their investment projects over three years. The work may concern places dedicated to early childhood or families, cultural or leisure spaces, municipal facilities or urban developments.
The regional grant is divided into two envelopes. The first, amounting to 850,000 euros, will be used for the reconstruction of the Epinettes nursery and elementary schools and the creation of socio-cultural facilities, construction work for which began in December; the second, for an amount of 150,000 euros, will be used to set up a “Children’s Café”, an intergenerational space creating social bonds, and a Bricothèque which will also encourage social bonds by offering activities open to all and courses, focused on DIY and sustainable development.
“Without a doubt, this Regional Development Contract will help us considerably in this structuring and long-term approach. This is a true recognition of Issy-les-Moulineaux’s ability to use public money intelligently to achieve its virtuous transformation and sustainable facilities, welcomed André Santini. It reflects the reliable and concrete nature of the relationship existing between our municipality and the Ile-de-France Region. »
