The Bayt Mal Al Quds Agency, under the Al-Quds Committee, is participating in the 2nd edition of the International Children and Youth Book Fair, organized from December 14 to 22 in Casablanca, under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
During this event, initiated by the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication, the agency will launch the applications « HAYYA » intended for children and young people to entertain them and educate them on the virtues of the holy city, indicates the agency in a press release.
These apps include 10 3D animation episodes, titled “The five keys of Al Quds”telling the story of five children, of different nationalities and religions, who compete to win an observation competition in the holy city, which they visit for the first time with their grandfather Moussa Al Reda, l one of the descendants of the Moroccan mujahideen who supported Salaheddine Al Ayyoubi during the conquest of Al Quds.
In addition to the animated episodes, augmented reality posters will be put in place to facilitate the interaction of children with the protagonists of the story during their journey between Rabat, Tetouan and Al Quds, in a work of art produced in Cairo, combining written and animated history, electronic applications on different media as well as puppets symbolizing the key of return and the olive tree of peace.
Furthermore, the Bayt Mal Al Quds Agency is organizing, Monday, December 16, a seminar on the theme “Literature for Palestinian children and young people” with the participation of Ziad Khaddash and Fares Sabaaneh, two Palestinian writers specializing in children’s literature, accompanied by the visual artist Shihab Qawasmi, creator of comics, and the Moroccan writer and researcher Mohamed Radouane, author of the series “Maqdissi notebooks” the first of which, of six notebooks, was published in 2023 and the second which has just been published in December 2024, also in six notebooks.
The Bayt Mal Al Quds Agency presents, during this event, its publications intended for children and young people and dedicates a space offering Moroccan children the opportunity to communicate with their Palestinian peers, through greeting cards that the Agency puts available to them, including expressions of solidarity and compassion, and which she will then give to Palestinian children.
It should be noted that products of Palestinian origin will also be put on sale and the proceeds of which will be used to finance the projects implemented by the agency in Al Quds.
