A Cyber Attribution Data Center (CADC) will be established at the Canadian Cyber Security Institute (CCI) at the University of New Brunswick (UNB).
The Minister of Public Safety, Dominic Leblanc announced Friday that Public Safety Canada will finance the establishment of the CDCA.
This center will aim to identify malicious cyber actors by collecting data from various sources and using the latest intelligence analysis methods in cyber attribution.
Thanks to its innovative and collaborative approach, the CDCA (…) will strengthen Canada’s resilience to cybercrime and spur the development of the skills and innovation needed to protect critical government and private sector systems against evolving cyber threats
declared Minister LeBlanc in a press release.
In addition to this, the CDCA will aim to train specialists in the field of artificial intelligence.
This center will provide comprehensive training for the next generation of professionals and strengthen our ability to detect and determine the origin of cyber threats
declared UNB President and Rector Paul J. Mazerolle. This remarkable advancement also places New Brunswick and Canada at the forefront of global efforts to build a more secure digital future for our communities.
L’ICC brings together researchers and practitioners from all academic disciplines to take action on cybersecurity challenges.
