Julien (1) appeared before the criminal court of Périgueux, in Dordogne, this Wednesday, December 11, for acts of violence aggravated by two circumstances (with use of a weapon and in a state of intoxication), followed by total incapacity of work (ITT) of more than eight days.
Sunday September 22, around 5:40 a.m., the police were called to intervene outside a nightclub in Périgueux following a violent fight: a person was injured in the throat after a stabbing. The author, a 30-year-old father, was handed over to the police by the security agent.
That night, Julien and a friend go to this nightclub. On site, Julien's friend allegedly “got into a fight” with the victim, Pierre (1), inside the establishment. Taken out of the compound by security, the two men find themselves on a nearby porch, and the situation escalates. Pierre delivers a first blow to the young man's face before Julien intervenes. He is knocked out after elbows to the face.
“I am no longer the same”
But the brawl doesn't stop there. Julien, who has regained his senses, gets up, takes a knife from his bag and stabs him from behind. Pierre was hit in the throat and was prescribed a two-week ITT.
Julien contests the course of events before the president of the court: “The knife was on the ground. I didn't aim for the neck particularly. I know it was serious, I could have taken his life. »
On the stand, Pierre explains his suffering: “After this event, I am no longer the same. I am a 23 year old who was stabbed in the throat. » His lawyer, Me Hammouche, continues: “A situation which degenerates to this point, what a waste! »
The public prosecutor is requesting twelve months in prison against Julien with accommodation in the form of home detention under electronic surveillance, a ban on possessing a weapon for three years and deprivation of the right to stand for election for three years. The decision will be made on January 27, 2025.
