Made up of two brothers and two sistersthese two couples share, in addition to their love, bonds ffriendly et common origins, having all lived and grew up in Grigonnais.
Married 60 years agoNovember 21, 1964they celebrated together, their double diamond weddingon Saturday November 23, 2024, with 72 members of their family.
The spouses are Victor Vergerborn in 1939 and Yvette David born in 1946 on the one hand and Claude Verger et Christiane Davidboth born in 1943 on the other hand.
In the case of the first couple, big brother married little sister and for the second, the youngest married the eldest.
An eight-branched family tree
Victor Verger worked at the Beautrait flour mill de Châteaubriant throughout his life, just like his brother at the start of his professional life before becoming butcher at La Grigonnais.
Christiane and Yvette David were childminders.
“Each house saw the birth of four children. Even if some died too soon, life continued with the grandchildren and great-grandchildren,” says the couple’s daughter Verge, Nathalie Elineau.
Of these two unions, the same family was born. The two couples each had four children.
