Since December 10, 2024, motorists no longer stop to pay on the A13 motorway between and . However, tolls have not become free, you now have to pay them after your trip, with the concept of the free-flow highway.

This is a concept that is not unanimous among road users! Supposed to be more practical, thefree flow highway was implemented on the A13 and the A14 between Paris and Normandysince December 10, 2024. This involves travel without having to stop at toll gates to pay at the terminals, but that doesn't exempt you from having to pay for the passage, and that's the danger!

From now on, the payment must be made after the tripon the Sanef website, within 72 hours maximum after your trip. Cameras and sensors have been installed at toll booths to scan license plates cars and thus calculate the amount to pay in total. If you are afraid of forgetting to pay, it is possible to create an account now by entering your plate and your card number, which will be taken automatically after your visit.

Another solution, if you are often on the road, take a subscription with the Liber-t electronic toll badgewhich allows you not to worry about it, since your toll expenses are deducted every month, automatically. For the moment, only the A79 and A4 have these free-flow portions.

In the event of non-payment, the fine will cost you dearly, with the amount of the unpaid toll, accompanied by a fixed compensation of 90 euros, reduced to 10 euros if paid within 15 days. Without regularization within 2 months, the fixed fine is increased by 375 euros.
