He is one of the most famous and renowned photographers in the world. Yann Arthus-Bertrand sets up his photo studio in Marseille, December 17 to 20, on the Canebière at No. 61. As part of his project “ The French and those who live in France “, the one who has immortalized the French and their families for more than 30 years, will photograph for free those who wish, “accompanied by those they love, their family, their friends, their work colleagues, and even their animals“, specifies those around him. To date, more than 26,000 people have been photographed.
This is a photographic, demographic and educational project produced in collaboration with the demographer and historian Hervé Le Bras which will then materialize in the publication of a work by Actes Sud and a major exhibition across France.
To participate, you must register on the project website starting this Thursday, December 12 in the afternoon. In exchange for their participation, those photographed will be offered a digital version of their photo.
On the day of the meeting, everyone is photographed on the same burlap tarpaulin and participants are invited to wear their work or everyday clothes.
Last July, Yann Arthus Bertrand had already settled in Martigues for four days, but this is the first time he has come to Marseille, after having already visited Arles in Bouches-du-Rhône, but also Perpignan, Ajaccio , Lyon, Saint-Nazaire… around thirty places in all.
