At around 9 p.m., this Tuesday, December 10, 2024, a fire declared himself in a house of 140 m2 located at 6, rue de la Forêt, in Bosroumois (Eure), near Grand Bourgtheroulde. The house with floor and attic has almost entirely consumed since almost 100 m2 of the home were burned. The house, located in a street perpendicular to rue d'Elbeuf (RD 313) is located at the end of a large tarmac alley.
This event comes a week after the fire which took place in Grand Bourgtheroulde on December 4.
The woman and the teenager are rehoused
A 41-year-old woman and a 14-year-old girl were in the house when the flames broke out. They were able to get out to safety and were therefore not injured. “I saw them when they were in the ambulance, we talked. They are obviously shocked,” confides to Courrier de l’Eure the mayor of Bosroumois, Philippe Vanheule.
Both were relocated to their family for “around ten days”, according to the elected official, and the town hall “currently working hard to offer them a more sustainable solution”. Because the mayor says it: “Given the state of the house, it is not habitable before major work. »
The Eure firefighters managed to put out the fire using three fire hoses and 29 firefighters. The intervention lasted until 3:45 a.m. on December 11, 2024. The Departmental Fire and Rescue Service (SDIS) of Eure has no idea of the origin of the fire, but the mayor specifies: “A priori, it would be of electrical origin. »
