A house located in Cannes is for sale at 55 million euros on the SeLoger site, which reveals that its most expensive properties for sale and rental are in the Alpes-Maritimes.
The most expensive properties in France for sale and rental are on the Côte d'Azur, according to an annual study by the real estate site SeLoger, which lists more than a million listings. A 2,300 square meter house located in Cannes (Alpes-Maritimes) turns out to be the most expensive property for sale on the specialized site, with an announced price of 55 million euros. The most expensive rental is also on the Riviera coast, further east, with a 350 square meter villa in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin at more than 141,000 euros in rent per month.
“The French Riviera and more particularly Cannes makes the French dream”underlines the site in its retrospective for the year 2024. It also notes that for rentals, “the south remains in the lead with a majority of properties located in Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur and the Alpes-Maritimes”. In these established rankings, three of the five most expensive properties are in this department, while the other two are in Paris.
Apartment at 29 million euros
Still in Cannes, a villa for sale of 958 square meters is estimated at 29.6 million euros and an apartment of 570 square meters at 29 million euros, suggests the SeLoger site, which may contrast with a rate of Significant and little-known poverty in this city, estimated at more than 20% by INSEE.
Regarding the most expensive rentals, a 255 square meter house is also available for rent in Nice for 100,000 euros per month and a villa in Mougins for 80,000 euros per month.
These data, which are not exhaustive, reveal a known trend in the luxury real estate market. However, other hidden and more reserved properties could exceed a hundred million euros, particularly in the very popular town of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat. Without forgetting the principality of Monaco, where the price per square meter exceeds 50,000 euros.
