The new Nantaise Sèvre Territorial Water Contract, for the period 2024-2026, was signed by the various partners on Friday December 6 in Chanverrie (Vendée). An action program has been established for the next three years.
They will focus in particular on the protection of drinking water resources, water quality, the quality of aquatic environments, the quantitative management of water resources (low water levels and flooding) and the development of water resources and aquatic environments.

140 kilometers from Deux-Sèvres
The estimated cost of the actions is estimated at 15.6 million euros. More than 6 million euros are allocated by the Loire-Bretagne Water Agency. The Pays de la Loire Region contributes 1.1 million euros, Nouvelle-Aquitaine for an amount of €590,000.
The Nantes Sèvre covers approximately 140 kilometers from its sources in Deux-Sèvres (Editor's note: in Beugnon and Neuvy-Bouin) to the confluence with the Loire. It passes through Vendée, Maine-et-Loire and Loire-Atlantique.
