And firewhich could have had more serious consequences, broke out on Friday December 6 early in the afternoon in a woodshed in Plounévez-Moëdec.
“The owner was not there, he was taking the plane to go to Lyon. It was the postwoman who warned of the fire, otherwise everything would burn,” says the mayor, Gérard Quilin.
A car was in fact parked right next to the shelter, a stone's throw from the house, located in Pleso, near Pont Louars.
Five fire engines on site
Informed by the postwoman who was making her rounds, around twenty firefighters from Belle-Isle-en-Terre and Loguivy-Plougras, with five vehicles, quickly arrived on site.
Firefighters were able to quickly control the flames. The gendarmerie was also dispatched to the scene, in the presence of a friend of the owner who had come from Belle-Isle-en-Terre.
“The municipality lent its tractor to remove the wood,” specifies the mayor.
The accident theory is favored.
