The municipality of Champagnole owns a paid car park with 40 spaces, ideally located in the heart of the town, behind the old postal sorting center. It was the subject of a redevelopment in 2017. “It proved necessary to benefit, in addition to this parking offer, from a covered space on these squares, which will make it possible to house the weekly Saturday market very busy morning and contributing to the vitality of the city center, but also to be able to host the numerous summer or winter events”, recalls the elected official. These events, organized in principle on the square, can take place despite the vagaries of the weather. In a “normal” situation, the car park will operate in a strict blue zone.
The cost of the structure in AOC Jura wood and metal is €980,569 excluding tax. The hall will be financed by the State (DETR 30%), the Departmental Council (20%), the Region (5%). The estimated duration of the work is approximately four months.
