Air Canada announced the strategic expansion of its international network with the addition of non-stop flights between its Pacific hub at Vancouver International Airport (YVR) and Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNL) in the Philippines*. The announcement was made during the federal government’s Team Canada Trade Mission to the Philippines which was carried out as part of the celebrations of the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries. This new service to Manila brings to three the number of routes launched by Air Canada to destinations in Southeast Asia over the past two years.

Air Canada is the only Canadian carrier with planned service to the Philippines, the largest market in Asia currently not served by Air Canada non-stop service. The new route will be operated four times a week by a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, the flagship of Air Canada’s fleet, starting April 2, 2025. This will be Air Canada’s 12th route in its trans-Pacific network. departing from Vancouver, which includes Japan, South Korea, the People’s Republic of China, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Thailand, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand. Flights will be operated by the 787 Dreamliner, which offers three classes of service: Air Canada Signature Class with sleeper chairs, Premium Economy Class and Economy Class.
