A new start to the evening complicated on the roads around Paris, in Île-de-France. According to the Sytadin network, the traffic jam curve has largely exceeded the usual threshold this Saturday, December 7, 2024 with more than 250 kilometers of traffic jams recorded at 6 p.m., a figure almost three times higher than the average.
Several blocked axes
Around the capital, several axes are saturated, notably l'A1 towards Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle airport and Le Bourget (Seine-Saint-Denis). Part of the A86 between Bobigny and Nogent-sur-Marne (Val-de-Marne) is also congested. Few ring roads are spared from traffic jams.
In Paris, traffic is also very difficult in the city center due to the security perimeter set up for the reopening of Notre-Dame Cathedral, where several foreign heads of state are expected. So, around 6:30 p.m., the counter was approaching the 300 km mark.
To make matters worse, an accident involving two cars occurred in Val-d'Oise near Chennevières, at the intersection of the A15 and the N184.
