A septuagenarian lost his life following a road exit which led him directly into a concrete wall, Friday, in the middle of the afternoon, in Quebec.

Police officers from the Quebec City Police Service (SPVQ) were called to go near the intersection of Avenue du Verger and Chemin Saint-Louis around 2:20 p.m. for a vehicle that allegedly collided with a residential concrete wall.

Witnesses also noted that the driver seemed unconscious.

The first responders on site therefore began resuscitation maneuvers on the 70-year-old man.

The latter was then transported by ambulance to a hospital center where he was pronounced dead.

Investigators as well as technicians from the Forensic Identification Unit will go to the scene to carry out an analysis of the causes and circumstances of the accident. The malaise hypothesis is however favored.

At the time of writing, traffic was restored on Chemin Saint-Louis, between Rue Corrignan and Avenue du Verger.
