Parents of students in Châlons-en-Champagne (Marne) express their dissatisfaction with school uniforms. Since the start of the experiment, in September 2024, several problems have been noted, reports The Parisian Thursday December 5, 2024.

30% of order too small

The municipality was even forced to place a new order for €19,560 with the company France Uniformes. Blame it on clothes that are too small. If the municipality had asked parents to pay attention to the size, and even to order sizes larger, it seems that this would not have been enough. In fact, 30% of the stock delivered was unusable.

The new clothes should therefore arrive at the beginning of 2025. But this will not solve everything, since parents complain about the poor quality of the uniforms. “Clothes that shrink or lose their shape. This is what some parents denounce”explained an advisor. The town hall, which allegedly tested the clothes, claims not to have noticed these problems.
