The town of Trélazé (Maine-et-Loire), in consultation with teachers, parents and local residents elementary market gardening schools and the Daguerre school group, is experimenting in several phases the street principle of schools.

The first meetings took place in June, with new ones in the fall to discuss the street implementation of schools several times during the year.

What is a school street?

It is about make the school entrance accessible only to pedestrians et gentle mobility in the morning (8 a.m. – 8:40 a.m.) and in the evening, for 30 minutes depending on when school ends.

This action requires, for certain parents and local residents, to change their habits to encourage safety around the school.

The experimental phases will be renewed 3 times a year, for one week.
The first time of experimentation at the Maraîchère school is planned from December 9 to 13 and from 16 to 20 at the Daguerre school group.
