Since November 25, 2024, Seine-Saint-Denis has had a new prefect. And it seems that Julien Charlessuccessor to Jacques Witkowskialso wishes to emphasize the hygiene of shops and restaurants in the department.

Thus, a new wave of health checks took place in several establishments, including three were closed emergency administration.

Another problem: the premises were “filthy and cluttered” and the equipment cleaning procedure not applied. Some equipment was considered “obsolete and unsuitable for the storage and handling of foodstuffs”.

The establishment also had the right to a visit from agents of the Bureau Veritas organization who noted the following faults: the cleaning and the disinfection premises were deemed insufficient, as was compliance with good hygiene practices. The equipment appeared “filthy” to them.

During this new visit, Bureau Veritas agents once again detected breaches of hygiene rules: the absence of a pest control plan and therefore the presence of rodentsno equipment for controlling temperatures in refrigerated enclosures or bactericidal soap. The premises were considered “filthy and cluttered” and their maintenance “very insufficient”. Another problem: the unauthorized supply of foodstuffs from establishments that are not approved or which do not have health approval.

Allowing these establishments to remain open under these conditions “would cause a serious health risk public”, the prefecture ordered its emergency closure.

They will be able to reopen once modifications brought.
