Friday, December 6 at the beginning of the afternoon, a father aged around thirty will be tried in immediate appearance before the criminal court of Périgueux (Dordogne) for aggravated domestic violence and kidnapping.

On the night of Tuesday December 3 to Wednesday December 4, the man threatened to kill his ex-partner several times on the phone, who had taken refuge a little earlier in the evening with their 16-month-old daughter in an Airbnb in Vergt. Unable to locate her, the accused showed up the next morning at the childminder's home where her ex had just dropped off their child. A violent argument broke out between the two former lovers who came to blows.

In a position of strength, the father managed to neutralize his ex-friend before putting her in the trunk of his car. He started the vehicle and drove for several kilometers towards Périgueux. Curled up under the back of the car, the woman finally found the strength to approach him and ask him to have a coffee. He agreed and stopped at the first café that came along the road. As soon as she was inside the establishment, she took the opportunity to call the police. He got back in the car and drove off.

He refuses to comply with the police

Alerted by the police, the gendarmes of the Vergt brigade began looking for the perpetrator. They arrested him around 11 a.m., not without difficulty. The man refused to comply and tried to escape.

According to the Périgueux public prosecutor's office, the couple met in 2022. Increasingly addicted to cocaine, the thirty-year-old had changed his behavior in recent months. The alleged victim had filed complaints twice against her former partner. But his refusal to cooperate with the police led to the complaints being dismissed.
