This is the fear of many people. This Saturday, November 30, a couple surprised two men breaking into their property in Nîmes (Gard). The facts, reported by our colleagues from Midi Libre, took place late in the morning.
Around 11:30 a.m., when the couple had just left their home to go shopping, they came across a car that they considered suspicious on the road. In fact, the vehicle, occupied by two men, was traveling at very slow speed.
Worried that the men might have witnessed their departure, the two people from Nîmes finally decided to turn around to find out for sure and discovered, once back at their home, the two suspects.

Caught in the act, the two men fled in their vehicle, which was then found abandoned in the town of Saint-Bonnet-du-Gard (Gard).
Alerted by the couple, the Nîmes gendarmes quickly deployed a substantial system to try to arrest the two suspects, without success.
Finally, at the beginning of the afternoon, it was thanks to the report of a trader from Remoulins (Gard), that the police managed to arrest the two men.
The two suspects were taken into custody. Originally from Italy, they denied the charges against them. They will be summoned to court for attempted burglary in June 2025.
