Twenty-one creative artisans are expected at Place des Acacias, in the city center of Laval (Mayenne), Saturday December 7, 2024. The town hall is organizing the 9e edition of its Marché des Lumières, from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. as part of its Laval Lights events officially launched on November 30.
“Affordable” prices
What will we find there? Clothing, jewelry, decoration, pottery… “We have favored creative artisans from Mayen, assures Solange Bruneau, municipal councilor responsible for businesses and the city's influence. There are no products made in China. We also pay attention to the prices charged. There is a requirement from the town hall when selecting exhibitors. It must remain accessible during this festive period. »
Candles in the windows
Four craftsmen will also be present. “We come here to find the ideal gift missing under the tree, appreciate the chosen one. There will be some entertainment on the square but we want to keep the element of surprise. »
A new feature had already been announced by the City: local residents, residents and merchants are invited to place candles in their windows to warm up the atmosphere and participate in the event in their own way. “A little nod to the theme of Lights, the magic of Christmas”, recalls Solange Bruneau.
