Since July 2, a tailor-made suit shop has opened its doors in Roanne.

The latter is located at 45 rue Maréchal-Foch. The store is run by Jérémy Jacquet. The young man has just created his boutique after a crush during his costume trials for his own wedding. “I had a lightbulb moment, I told myself that this was what I wanted to bring to men, the chance to have a suit made just for them.”

The shopkeeper received training in taking measurements and body shapes, then he got in touch with Italian and English drapers to guarantee an eclectic range of fabrics to his customers. Around 3,000 references can be offered. After an initial meeting to discover, quote and take measurements, the data is sent to software and the supplies are imported to Italy, Portugal or Romania for making. Then, about two weeks later, the customer can return to the shop to try on their suit, and if alterations are necessary, seamstresses from Roanne take over. “Once the measurements are taken, we keep them, if a woman wants to please her husband with a unique piece, she can surprise him, we will be accomplices”, jokes Jérémy, who, in the future, dreams of giving this opportunity to women too.

Tailor Jacquet’s. Open Tuesday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
