At the call of several trade union organizations, the civil service is on strike this Thursday, December 5, 2024 and is preparing to take to the streets. Schools, hospitals, administrative services, energy sectors… many services are expected to be disrupted this Thursday, December 5, 2024, following the call for a strike launched by several public service union organizations. Almost all of the inter-unionnamely the CGT, CFDT, Unsa, FSU, Solidaires, CFE-CGC and FA-FP, calls for a day of action, rallies, demonstrations and strikes throughout the territory. Objective ? Denounce the finance bill for 2025. And despite the motion of censure of the Barnier government adopted by the National Assembly last night, the public service unions are maintaining this call for a strike.
So, what should we expect this Thursday? According to FSU-SNUipp, this strike movement should be particularly monitored in the education sector. According to the union, 65% of teachers plan to take part in this mobilization. Several schools should therefore be closed this December 5, notably in Paris and elsewhere in Île-de-France. According to France 3 Regions, 230 schools will be closed in Paris and 75% of teachers in the capital will be on strike.
In addition to this important day of strike in the public service, several rallies and demonstrations are also preparing in the four corners of France.
