“We’ve been wanting to move for a while. » Francis Zaghet, president of the community of communes of Réolais in Sud-Gironde (CDC), does not hide his satisfaction. Since Monday, December 2, the institution has taken up new quarters at 3 rue Jules-Ferry in La Réole (Gironde), bringing to fruition a project dating back several years.
The old premises were no longer suitable
The old premises have had their day. Realize the first community of communes created in 1997 had moved into its premises, located at 81 rue Armand-Caduc. They were previously occupied by unions.
“They were no longer suitable,” notes Francis Zaghet. “The idea is to bring together all of our servicesuntil now dispersed in the structures of the old communities of communes. »
This move marks a new stage in the process of progressive merger of communities of municipalities, initiated in 2014 with the regrouping of Réolais, Aurossais and Monségurais, then reinforced by the integration of five municipalities from the former Community . of Communes of Coteaux Macariens.
Opening an accounting management service
“The idea is to bring together all of our services which were scattered across the structures of the old communities of municipalities,” explains the president of the CDC. Thus, the new public services house will offer a multitude of services to its citizens.
Among these, five free France Services support spaces for your procedures: Caf, MSA, CPAM, transport on demand. But also the traditional services of the community of municipalities, such as the population service center and the support service. Also note the opening an Accounting Management service (formerly Treasury), a strong desire of the CDC. Around twenty agents will occupy this service, located on the ground floor of the building. “In all, around forty agents will be on site, out of the 160 from the CDC (estimate). »
280 m2 of useful space remains to be occupied
The new premises have a surface area of 1,700 m2. 280 m2 of usable space remains to be occupied. The management of the CDC would like to welcome external partnersparticularly businesses. The cost of this move is estimated at around five million euros, the real figure would be given in the coming weeks primarily to elected officials.
