A total of 400 lots. This Thursday, December 5, 2024 will be held in Paris an auction like no other. Organized by customs, it will put objects seized by the service on sale. These are varied, ranging from jewelry to leather goods including vehicles and boats.
Goods seized at the border
“Most of the 400 properties offered during this sale come from findings carried out by the various customs services and illustrate the plurality of missions carried out throughout the territory. Certain goods presented were thus seized at the border following irregularities noted during their importation while others were apprehended on the territory, including during investigation phases,” customs specified in a press release. .
“Introduce visitors to the role of customs”
Every year, customs organizes around a hundred auctions, most of them online. Last year, a profit of 100 million euros was thus generated. “This sale will be an opportunity to present to visitors the role of customs in the fight against all illicit trafficking which threatens our territory and our society, in order to protect citizens and the environment,” detailed customs.

The sale is scheduled to take place from 10:30 a.m. at 139 rue de Bercy, in the 12th arrondissement.
