A 75-year-old woman suffered a particularly traumatic attack on the night of Monday December 2 to Tuesday December 3, at her home, in an isolated house on the heights of the Gresse-en-Vercors resort, where she lives alone. Shortly after midnight, while she was sound asleep in bed, she was startled awake by two men whose faces were partially hidden under hoods. Suffering from hearing problems, she had not heard them break the door of her home and progress through the house into her bedroom. There, while one of the criminals held her firmly, his accomplice snatched the gold rings, bracelet and necklace that she had not taken off when she went to bed. They also stole a few items before fleeing as they came.
Physically unharmed but very psychologically shocked, the unfortunate woman managed to alert the police who immediately came. She did not want the firefighters to intervene but spent the rest of the night with one of her relatives. An investigation was obviously opened to try to identify the two attackers.
