Editorial director of Overseas la 1ère since last March, Valérie Filain has just been appointed regional director of Réunion la 1ère. She will take office on January 6.

It is a well-known face of Islanders who will take the reins of Réunion la 1ère on January 6, 2025. Current editorial director of Outre-mer la 1ère, in , Reunion journalist Valérie Filain was appointed, Wednesday December 4, regional director of the Sainte-Clotilde station.

A return home for the woman who started her career at RFO Réunion in 2004 as editor and presenter of the television news.

Between 2012 and 2013, Valérie Filain presented several national editions of Soir 3 and 12/13. In 2016, she was appointed deputy editor-in-chief of Réunion la 1ère, in charge of television news. Then, in April 2022, she co-presents “Outre-mer 2022”, the political program from the Overseas division for the presidential election.

In January 2023, she joined the editorial staff of Outre-mer la 1ère as deputy editor-in-chief, and, in the same year, ensured the editorial coordination of the Indian Ocean Islands Games for the Overseas division and the all public television stations in the area.

In November 2023, Valérie Filain was appointed Overseas Project Manager for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Since March 2024, she has served as editorial director of Outre-mer la 1ère.

Her appointment by Delphine Ernotte Cunci, president of Télévisions, comes at the suggestion of Sylvie Gengoul, director of the Overseas division. On January 6, Valérie Filain will succeed the current regional director of Réunion la 1ère, Frédéric Ayangma, who has been called to take on new roles.
