the essential
The premiere of “Ciné-Doudou”, where the municipal cinema gives pride of place to children, is a success that calls for others.
Soft lighting, to reassure, adapted sound, to preserve “little ears”, mid-morning session, short screening: here is the setting for the “Ciné Doudou”, set up by the municipal cinema of the town of Tarascon-sur -Ariège.
Intended for toddlers, the big premiere took place last Tuesday. Reserved for children aged 18 months and over, the first session was validated by nearly 30 toddlers who laughed and applauded. Through a gentle ride on the theme of friendship, the animated film “Two is better” transported the young spectators, amazed and often moved.

The discovery of the seventh art, awareness of cultural awakening, this is the meaning that the city wants to give to these new events. Objectives shared with the municipal crèche whose staff accompanied the oldest of their “toddlers”. The structure had also invited childminders, often better known as “nanny”, as part of the Relais Petite Enfance’s actions.
Open to all, these sessions will be repeated. We can bet that early childhood professionals, parents and even grandparents will be present in large numbers at future “Ciné Doudou”. For information, the price allows everyone to participate, since the entry ticket is €4 per child, free for an accompanying person.
Ciné Doudou, but not only that! In the coming weeks, “Christmas obliges”, children will be the kings of the city’s cinema. First on December 14 at 2:30 p.m. with “We must save Christmas”, for children aged 2 and over, followed by a workshop, on the Christmas Market, on the square in front of the cultural center, with the Entre’Act association. And, during the holidays, “Vaïana 2” and “Mufasa”, films which will add to the magic of the holidays orchestrated by the Town Hall this year.
