The post-Olympic aftermath is sometimes difficult, this was not the case for Benjamin Pillerault. In October, in Prague, he won his first title with the Blues during the Bronze Nations League.
All that was missing to complete this triptych was a result at the European Championships (group B) in Türkiye at the end of November. “The stakes were high because the first three nations moved up to Group A.” With four victories in six matches, the Blues took third place (behind the Netherlands and Turkey) and thus fulfilled their contract.

“This was not necessarily expected because after the Olympics, half of the squad changed. But between the replacements who became starters and the new arrivals, we felt that it worked from the start”explains the man who, with his dad, is at the origin of a sitting volleyball club in Muides.
