There are changes to the city’s committees and commissions that were announced on Tuesday.

The mayor has made many changes. In particular, she appointed Steve Moran as the commissioner for the fight against homelessness. This is an unofficial position, to which no additional compensation is attached, but which aims to clarify which elected official is responsible for the homelessness file in the city.

There is also the arrival of new councillor Catherine Craig St-Louis as president of transport and sustainable travel.

It is also noted that Caroline Murray is taking Mario Aubé’s place as chair of the urban planning, heritage and demolition committees. Mr. Aubé will now hold the presidency of public safety, but he would have liked to keep his former positions.

These changes will be made official Tuesday evening during the public meeting of the municipal council. The elected officials will also adopt a resolution of support for the SOS Outaouais movement to ask Quebec for better health care.
