Multi-award winning author, Colin Niel has placed Guyana at the heart of six of his works. From December 5 to 7, 2024, he will be with us for a series of meetings focused on his two latest publications: Darwyne, Prix Carbet des lycéens en 2024, and Wallace.
His novels are essential in Guyana. His talent is recognized beyond our borders. The author Colin Niel is present from Thursday until Saturday, December 7 for a series of meetings and signings. The discussions will focus particularly on his two works, Darwynepublished in 2022, which won the Carbet Prize for high school students in 2024 and Wallacereleased a few months ago. At the heart of these works the reader plunges, once again, into the heart of the Guyanese forest, into what is most majestic, sometimes frightening, often magical. Darwyne et Wallace also highlight the work of child welfare, notably through the character of Mathurine, a social worker, and Darwyne, an unloved and abused child.
