Tuesday, December 3, around 4 a.m., a tragic accident occurred on Boulevard Léon Blum, in Besançon. A car, with a lone man on board, violently collided with a pedestrian protection barrier. When help arrived, the man was locked in his passenger compartment and in cardio-respiratory arrest. Despite the efforts of the eight firefighters mobilized on the scene, and the intervention of the Smur doctor, the victim did not survive and was declared dead on the spot. The circumstances of this accident remain unclear and are under investigation.
In Jura, a 24-year-old young woman also died in a road accident in recent hours. SOn the D905, in Gevry, near Dole Tavaux airport, a car and a truck collided. Despite the intervention, the victim ultimately died. This is 39e fatal accident on the roads of Jura.
