Medical students announce series of sit-ins and marches

After boycotting exams and internships, medical, dental and pharmacy students are continuing their protest movement and are announcing sit-ins in the various Faculties and a national march on July 16, 2024.

After boycotting exams and internships, medical, dental and pharmacy students are continuing their protest movement and are announcing sit-ins in the various Faculties and a national march on July 16, 2024.

In a press release, the National Commission of Medical Students denounces the “multiple forms of discrimination to which students are subject, includingexclusion from their representative associations and one “unfair treatment during exams”.

Reaffirming their commitment to “rational reforms”, the students insist on the need for a positive response to their demands.

The students, who say they “reject the blank year”, are planning a series of demonstrations and actions throughout the month of July:

– Wednesday July 10 : Regional march in Marrakech.

– Thursday July 11 : Local march in Tangier in parallel with a sit-in in Casablanca.

– Friday July 12 : Sit-in in Fez and local march in Oujda, accompanied by another sit-in in Marrakech.

– Saturday July 13 : Press conference.

– Tuesday July 16 : Large national march entitled “March of Anger” in Rabat in front of Parliament.
