RECOGNITION OF THE STATE OF NATURAL DISASTER – News – State actions

By interministerial decree published in the Official Journal of December 3, 2024, the state of natural disaster was recognized for the municipalities of:

  • Holder and Nogent-sur-Oise for the floods and mudslides that occurred on October 17, 2024
  • Evefor the floods and mudslides that occurred on October 9 and 10, 2024
  • Senlisfor the floods and mudslides that occurred on October 13, 2024.
  • Thiers-sur-Thèves, for the floods and mudslides that occurred on October 9 and 13, 2024.

The cumulative precipitation during these events was abnormal over the 10-year reference period.

The Oise prefecture reminds that victims have 30 days from the publication of this decree to make their claim declaration to their insurance companies.

Through the recognition of the state of natural disaster, the State supports municipalities and individuals affected by disasters and allows compensation for damage directly caused to insured property. In 2024, in Oise, 55 natural disaster states have been recognized for 50 municipalities.
