MP Davy Rimane ready to censure the government

The Barnier government is subject to two motions of censure carried by the deputies of the National Rally for one and the other by the deputies of the New Popular Front. The end of this political soap opera should be played out on Wednesday, December 4 during the vote on the Social Security budget. The deputy for the second constituency of Guyana, Davy Rimane, firm in his position, will vote on the motion of censure alongside his colleagues from the left.

Questioned this December 3 in the morning radio show Davy Rimane, as usual, did not mince his words on the action of the government which led to this serious political and economic crisis. On the risk of leading the country into chaos following the adoption of a motion of censure, as feared by part of public opinion, the deputy for the second constituency of Guyana attributes the responsibility to presidential policy:

“This is nonsense, the country was already in economic crisis. Emmanuel Macron's policy, his strategy to revive the country economically is a flop. It doesn’t work, he insists. The president gave gifts in the tens of billions to businesses, he thought the trickle-down would pay off, but no. They garnered billions in dividends and there was no recovery… And it was President Macron and his supporters who refused a government from the left-wing Popular Union against the people's choice. »

The overseas budget presented by the government does not make it possible to achieve the most urgent

The MP is much tougher when it comes to the overseas budget: “ It's a disaster. France is experiencing an economic crisis because the choices made by deputies since the first five-year term do not make it possible to respond to the situation. The budget put in place today and initially presented by the government does not make it possible to achieve the most urgent needs in the overseas territories. »

Davy Rimane does not comment on the possibility of forcing President Macron to resign. According to him if the head of state does: “a proof of intelligence, he must be able to realize that the policy being pursued is not good. It does not make it possible to ease tensions in the country and on the scale of the Ultramarines to develop, to develop, to open up Guyana, to respond to the economic, health and development challenges. Either the president hears the people or he goes into a wall that is becoming more and more dense. »

MP Rimane will calmly wait for the debate on the text and then the vote. “ If the motion of censure is voted for by a majority of deputies, the government will be censored. So it will be up to Emmanuel Macron to appoint a new head of government to restart the machine… In all cases this other government will have to prioritize listening to the French, the territories, Guyana because that is enough! »

There are two motions of censure tabled, MP Rimane if the motion of his group did not succeed, would he be ready to vote for the one tabled by the National Rally to be sure to bring down the Barnier Government?
