It's a construction site which does not go unnoticed. For several weeks, several construction machines have been working and turning over the earth on a plot located along the RD1between Caraman and Lanta, at the Maureville activity zone.

On this land located below the building which houses the offices of Réseau 31, the Departmental Council of Haute-Garonne is in the process ofdevelop one of its new carpooling areas.

Opening planned for the first quarter of 2025

Contacted by Voice of Midi Lauragaisthe Department's services specify that the commissioning of this infrastructure is planned “during the first quarter of 2025”.

In total, these are 13 parking spaces which can be used by motorists, the community also specifies.

This will be the fourth area along the RD1

The Maureville carpooling area will be the fourth to be developed by the Departmental Council along the RD 1 which connects Revel to Quint-Fonsegrives via Caraman. Three others are already in service at Montégut-Lauragais (10 places)au Cabanial (13 places) and to Lanta (24 places).

A fifth is also planned, still on the same axis, in the town of Saint-Pierre-de-Lages. The Departmental Council plans to develop there dix places parking.
