After a few days of investigation, the dragnet took place this Tuesday morning. Six teenage girls, aged between 14 and 15, are in police custody at the Valencia police station. They were arrested this Tuesday in the investigation into the attack of another young girl last week in front of La Providence high school. Some are suspected of having molested her, others of having had a role on social networks. The victim filed a complaint claiming to have been kicked and punched.
The aggression was escalated to high places. The mayor of Valencia and Minister for Daily Safety was moved and criticized the lack of parental authority. The Rectorate, in agreement with the Diocese which manages this Catholic establishment, has set up a specialized unit in the establishment to both secure and listen to students and staff.
It is the judicial support group which is responsible for the investigations. Investigators must now determine which teenager had which role in this affair.
