THE end of year weekends experience high attendance from Angevins and visitors who came to take advantage of the facilities of Winter suns or shops in the city. Of the exceptional openings of businesses of the city center are planned Sundays December 15 and 22.

One hour of free parking

As a reminder, the first hour of parking is free in 9 car parks in the city, totaling nearly 3,200 spaces.

The parking East cheaper everywhere until the third hour ; after which the increase is felt, so as to avoid the windfall effect and excessively long-term parking.

You have to pay 1.60 euros to park for two hours at Place Leclerc, compared to 2.40 euros previously. Same scenario for the Bressigny, Mail, Molière, République (Fleur d'eau) and Place de la Poissonnerie car parks.

Place Mitterrand and Larrey Park at the CHU, two hours of parking cost 1.20 euros. To leave your car at the Ralliement, the cost for two hours goes from 4 to 2 euros.

Some car parks are exceptions to the rule, such as those around the station perimeter.(Marengo, Saint-Laud 1 and 2), whose vocation is more linked to SNCF users. However, these retain the first half-hour allowance, which allows the rapid drop-off or pick-up of a traveler.

The City estimates the annual budgetary impact of this measure, implemented since September 1, at 850,000 euros excluding tax.
