The event is historic: five years after the fire of April 15, 2019 which ravaged Notre-Dame de Paris, the cathedral will reopen its doors on the weekend of December 7 and 8, 2024. Official broadcaster of the event, France Télévisions has put in place an exceptional editorial system: special broadcasts, concerts, live broadcasts… This Tuesday, December 3, is a great evening of three new documentaries, presented by Stéphane Bern, who is offered on France 2 .
Notre-Dame de Paris: a unique documentary evening on France 2
First of all, the movie Our Lady Resurrection immerses itself in the heart of the five years of restoration of Notre-Dame, highlighting the artisans who worked on the site. From 2020 to 2024, more than 2,000 people worked there: project managers, carpenters, stonecutters, sculptors, master glassmakers, etc. The film crew was able to benefit from privileged access to the site with more than 350 hours unpublished images and nearly thirty interviews carried out.

Two new documentaries will then be discovered: The breath of Notre-Damewhich followed step by step the rebirth of the great organ of the cathedral; Then Notre-Dame, the test of the centuriesa 3D animated story narrated by Sophie Marceau, which looks back on the 850 years of the tumultuous history of Notre-Dame.
