The closed doors of the Casino mini-market will reopen to residents of the town of Rouget-Pers but differently. The building, owned by the town hall, has been divided in two, renovated and will house Groupama and, from now on, an optical store: Rouget Verres.

At its head, Sonia Laporte wanted to get closer to its origins and contribute to developing local dynamism: “I wanted to bring a local service to the inhabitants of Rouget. The optics complement the health offer and the commercial dynamism of the municipality.”

An optician since 2012, the young woman first cut her teeth with opticians of as an employee then as store manager. Having “a desire to stand on her own two feet and work on her own collections”, Sonia Laporte seized the opportunity to open her own store.

Opening Tuesday December 3 at 9 a.m.

After a year of work, the town hall has delivered a new boutique where Sonia Laporte was able to add her personal touch: “I tried to look for that rare pearl with French brands but also to find a compromise between originality and price so that There’s something for everyone.”

The decision was also made to allocate a day at home for people who cannot travel, whether to nursing homes or to private homes for repairs or eye exams. Indeed, holder of a BTS Optician Lunetier and a professional optics license, Sonia Laporte is able to carry out vision checks in store and therefore to renew and modify a prescription accordingly (valid for 5 years for 16 -42 years, 3 years for those over 42).
