After 57 races without a win, Lewis Hamilton returned to the top step of the podium. At home, on the Silverstone circuit, he won the 104e victory of his career (a record in F1) and the ninth on home soil (another record). At 39 years old, and having already signed with Ferrari for next season, Lewis Hamilton is giving himself a real makeover.

He obviously celebrated as he should have this victory obtained at the end of the most beautiful race of the season. The rain indeed animated the 52 laps completed by the single-seaters. Starting in second position, Lewis Hamilton dropped back one place after the start before taking the lead for a few minutes during the first British shower. Lando Norris and George Russell then took control of the race before the latter, Lewis Hamilton’s teammate, had to retire due to mechanical failure. With 11 laps to go, the perhaps greatest driver of all time took the lead and never relinquished it.

How much is Lewis Hamilton’s watch?

Of course, the crowd was overjoyed. On the podium, Lewis Hamilton also had a huge smile on his face, coupled with a few tears of intense happiness. He lifted the golden cup, reminiscent of the Wimbledon tennis cup, and drank a few drops of champagne… Ferrari. As always, he also put on his team sponsor Mercedes watch to celebrate. It is IWC, which has made a special F1 model, the Pilot’s Watch Chronograph Performance 41 Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula 1 Team, ref. IW388306.

The 41 mm case of this watch is made of ceramic while the strap is made of black rubber. The 69385 Caliber movement, manufactured by IWC, offers a power reserve of 46 hours. A window displays the date and day of the week (in green) at 3 o’clock while three counters are placed at 6 o’clock (minutes), 9 o’clock (hours) and 12 o’clock (small seconds). This IWC chronograph, which is 14.7 mm thick, is available at a price of 14,900 euros. A luxury watch that is both understated and high-performance, which was perfect to accompany the local hero after this historic victory.
