registrations to visit the cathedral open this Tuesday

From December 8, Notre-Dame de Cathedral, which burned down in April 2019, will open its doors to the public. Visitors will be able to register for a time slot starting this Tuesday, December 3.

The date to book your free visit is finally known. The diocese announced this Monday that visitors will be able to register to reserve a time slot starting this Tuesday, December 3. The first visits to the cathedral will take place on Sunday December 8 at 5:30 p.m.

If access to the cathedral will remain free, an online reservation system will be available from this Tuesday on the monument's official website, or via the Notre-Dame de Paris mobile application. A digital ticket will then be sent by email as soon as the reservation is made. Access will still be possible without reservation, “but with a risk of longer waiting” explains the website of the place of worship.

From Monday December 9 to Friday December 13, the day marked by the return of the Holy Crown of Thorns, visitors will be welcomed between 3:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. Saturday December 14 and Sunday December 15, Notre-Dame de Paris will open its doors at 3:30 p.m. and close at 8 p.m.

An opening ceremony with great fanfare

Thursday December 7,

-

Notre-Dame de Paris Cathedral will celebrate its reopening, five years after the terrible fire that decimated it. The evening organized with great fanfare, including the presence of several headliners –

Clara Luciani, Vianney and even Garou – should launch a new era for the famous monument.

The five years of intensive work undertaken since April 2019 should make it possible to welcome the public from Friday December 8, for a one-week “octave of reopening”. Masses – at 10:30 a.m. and around 6 p.m. – will be celebrated there to bring together the faithful Parisians, orphans of their cathedral, but also the many visitors.

After this week of reunion, Notre-Dame de Paris should return to normal life, with opening between 7:45 a.m. and 7 p.m. Pilgrim groups will have to wait until February 1, 2025 to be able to go there, and cultural groups until June 9, 2025.
