“I feel really useful”

On the leaflets distributed to passers-by, the message is clear: “Cnam reform: beware of danger”. This reform must establish a platform for reservations transport that can carry up to eight people. If customers prefer to use an approved taxi, they will no longer be entitled to an advance on costs, and their remaining costs will be higher.

The initiative also raises questions about the quality service for patients. “Endangering vulnerable people, waiting and extended journeys for our already exhausted customers”, we can read on the leaflets distributed.

“The approved taxi is a service, I feel useful. »

Sylvain, taxi driver in Houdan

“We have people who can vomit or urinate in our taxi. I don't mind cleaning, they're my customers. But in a livestock truck, this will not be possible,” says Sylvain Minissel, who works on the Houdan side. It recalls the link of proximity essential in his profession. “I take the time to help customers, to drop them off on their sofa. We reassure them. »

“They are going to sink half of the taxis in

“We are not against saving money,” says the president of Opty. This is evidenced by an agreement already in place in the department which has resulted in a discount rate of 23% on non-farms. flat rate. With the reduction in medical transport pricing, per kilometer would go from €1.91 to 98 cents in Yvelines.

Furthermore, there would no longer be difference between day and night journeys. “It’s not at all suited to the service we provide,” says Sylvain Minissel indignantly. The consequence of the drastic reduction in the price is clearly explained on the leaflet: “Agreed taxis below the break-even point. » Sylvain Minissel added: “They are going to sink half of the taxis in France. »

“We start soft, but…”

While waiting for answers clear, the mobilization of taxis continues in Yvelines and everywhere else. Olivier Chazal warns. “We start soft. If necessary, we will increase the number of sites. If the Cnam does not want to respond in a sensible way, we will have increasingly strong responses. »

At noon on Monday, the camp was up, but the taxis intend to return to Versailles, except on strike days. nationale. This will be the case Tuesday morning.
