American Davis Thompson won the John Deere Classic, his first victory on the PGA Tour, after the fourth and final round on Sunday in Silvis (Illinois).

Thompson, 25, shot a 64 in the final round, seven under par (71) and finished in first place (-28 overall) ahead of his compatriots Michael Thorbjornsen and Luke Clanton and Taiwanese CT Pan.
