58 businesses in Ploërmel (Morbihan) are participating in the 61e Commercial fortnight which will take place from 1is to December 15, 2024.

450,000 tickets will be distributed by these member merchants

Launch of the Commercial Fortnight in Ploërmel

To kick off the festivities, a Christmas parade will take place on Sunday, December 1: “A parade of floats organized by the Carnavaliers is planned from 3:30 p.m. departing from Place Jean-Paul II,” indicates Fabienne Josse, deputy in charge of commerce at the town of Ploërmel.

That same day, a parade of illuminated cars will take place from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the city center.

A little earlier in the afternoon, the bagadig of Ploërmel will perform from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. departing from Place d'Armes for a parade in the city center.

The All Imaginarium troupe will be present from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. wandering around the city center to liven up the streets.

The Couardière village committee will take advantage of this launch to organize a sale of mulled wine on the Place d'Armes.

Closing of the Commercial Fortnight

The Fortnight will end on Sunday, December 15 with the ticket draw which will take place at 6:30 p.m. at the Vitrines de Ploërmel premises.

A Sunday also marked by donkey rides from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. departing from Place La Mennais.

The Santa Claus will be present from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Place La Mennais and the All Imaginarium troupe will perform from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the city center.

The day will conclude with a fireworks at 7:15 p.m. in the market place.
