The accident took place in the middle of the afternoon of this Sunday, December 1. In Haut-Doubs, between Valdahon and Morteau, around 3:20 p.m., a train hit a car on the D132, near Longemaison.
The facts occurred between the commune of Avoudrey and Longemaison. The Doubs fire brigade and the gendarmerie quickly rushed to the scene.
This was probably TER 18109, which provided the connection between Besançon-Viotte and La-Chaux-de-Fonds in Switzerland.
At 3:42 p.m., the SNCF TER site estimated that this train would be 45 minutes late for its remaining services, due to an “obstacle on the track”.
It is not known whether the incident caused any injuries. More information to come.
