For the first time, the Côte-d'Or Cycling committee welcomed the clubs to its premises – which it rents in Marsannay and which it completely renovated last winter – during its general assembly this Saturday morning . Benoît Perrin, president, Romane Petit, development manager, as well as Valentin Bassard, sports manager, took stock of the year and detailed current and future projects.
At the end of the Olympiad, the committee has further accelerated its development (which has quintupled its activity in five years) thanks to various actions such as “Knowing how to ride a bike” (SRAV, convention with the clubs), and various activities linked to the passage of the Tour de France in Côte-d'Or.
Benoît Perrin re-elected
The financial report (+€8,617.03) and the forecast budget (€150,400) were adopted, while Benoît Perrin was unanimously re-elected. The office is completed by Grégory Pillien (secretary), Kévin Anjoubault (vice-president) and Sophie Simonet (treasurer), while a dozen members are on the steering committee.
A committee which is growing with a new employee, Thomas Stephan (SRAV and cycling health educator), and an intern, Louis Lamothe (bicycle school educator). The latter will be there in particular to support clubs which do not have a cycling school or lack supervisors.
Stopping of the U19s, creation of a women's section
Present at the AGM, regional president Gilles Zoppi congratulated the Côte-d'Or committee, “the flagship committee of the region and certainly one of the best organized in France, to be taken as an example; and successful clubs at all levels and in all disciplines. »
Among the changes, the end of the U19 category (due to lack of level, their calendar was shortened to 2024), the emphasis will be placed on the youngest and the creation of a women's section. The other big projects are the development of health sports or the hope of a BMX starting hill worthy of the name in the future.
“I would like more competitions in Côte-d'Or,” Benoît Perrin also repeated, recalling that the committee supports the clubs and guarantees free organizational costs for all cadet events and under, but also for all new races at the departmental level.
REGIONAL GENERAL ASSEMBLY
The elective AGM of the Burgundy-Franche-Comté committee will take place on Saturday December 7 (2 p.m.) in Vesoul. Only one list, that of outgoing president Gilles Zoppi, presents itself.
