“They were stuck on a rocky ledge, after following tracks during the hunt and climbing certain areas,” say the emergency services. Their owners had managed to locate them thanks to the GPS inserted in the animals' collars.
Intervention technique
The place being particularly steep, it was specialists for intervention in dangerous environments who intervened. “In this type of situation, you need people who have mastered the technique.” A 70 m abseil descent was necessary to bring back the poor animals.
They were able to be returned to their owners, hoping that such a mishap would not happen again. And especially since, over the last three days, another similar intervention had to be carried out by the firefighters, heroes of the doggies.
