The timetables

Polling stations will open at 8 a.m. and close in most cities at 6 p.m. As with every election, some cities have an exemption to close at 8 p.m.

This is the case in these municipalities of the Alpes-Maritimes: Antibes, Cannes, Carros, Grasse, Le Cannet, Mandelieu-la-Napoule, Mouans-Sartoux, Mougins, Nice, Saint-André-de-la-Roche, La Trinité, Valbonne, Vallauris, Vence.

Voter card, offices…

To be able to vote, you must be of legal age and be registered on the electoral rolls of one of the 163 communes of the Alpes-Maritimes. To go and vote, you must have your voter card and go to your office, but don’t panic, if you have neither the card nor the office, here’s what to do.

You can find your polling station with your postal address by logging into your Franceconnect personal space.

For the voter card, it is not mandatory. If you have it, take it, it’s better, it’s more practical and it allows you to have a stamp for each election (but unlike a loyalty card, after 10 there will be no gift!).

If you don’t have it, you can present a simple identity card. In the municipalities of less than 1,000 inhabitants, It is not even necessary, but the president of the office can ask you for it if he has any doubts.

If you do not have your identity card, you can present:

  • A passport
  • Fighter card with photograph
  • Disability card with photograph
  • Driving license (old or new)
  • Hunting license with photograph.

These documents must be valid, with the exception of the national identity card and passport, which may be presented valid or expired less than five years ago.

Details of the offices are available if required in a 133-page decree.

You will have an electronic machine

In these towns in the Alpes-Maritimes, electronic voting machines are deployed: Antibes (partially), Mandelieu-la-Napoule, Mougins, Valbonne, Vence.

Participation

In the Alpes-Maritimes, abstention amounts to 33.58% and therefore 66.42% participation. 25 points less than in 2022, which represented 58.71% participation. Throughout the day, we give you the turnout rate and at the end of the day, when the polling stations close, we use abstention.

Participation in this second round could be impacted by this first holiday weekend unless you have made arrangements in advance by making a proxy.
