On the occasion of the “Overseas Month” cycle, Ushuaïa TV will broadcast this Saturday, November 30, a new documentary by Anthony Binst and co-written by Anne-Cécile Monnier and Guillaume Vincent which will take us to Guadeloupe.
Fascinated by life in fresh water, Anne-Cécile Monnier, hydrobiologist and underwater photographer, sets out to discover the emblematic species of the rivers of mainland France and overseas and to meet the enthusiasts who study them and try to preserve them. .
In this new episode, Anne-Cécile Monnier takes us to Guadeloupe. The rivers of this archipelago are populated by astonishing freshwater shrimps, the ouassous.
One of them, nicknamed “the King of Springs”, will guide Anne-Cécile on a real journey through the archipelago, to meet those who watch over and preserve the aquatic heritage of Guadeloupe and its species.
